High power consumption has always been a problem in traditional 2G/3G/4G gateways, as well as providing limited coverage. Similar to our mobile phones on 3G or 4G networks, batteries drains very quickly making it difficult to produce a gateway that is energy efficient yet covering a wide area.
In contrast, with the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN), Willowmore's Sig-WAV gateway will be able to communicate effectively and economically with devices that have traditionally not been feasible. In summary, Sig-WAV's LPWAN gateway covers a wider range with significantly lesser energy consumption. The batteries will be able to run for multiple years without any need for charging*. There is currently no gateway like this in the market.
